The Way I See It #764

September 26, 2005
We received a complaint today.

A woman called my Assistant Store Manager and cursed her out because Starbucks has allowed a gay author's quote to be published on the side of our coffee cups.

It's one of many quotes, and one of many authors. She just happened to receive one that offended her, and she complained.

However, she not only complained, she used foul language to get her point across. She claimed that it was "immoral" and behaved as though my manager herself and selected the quote personally to offend people.

What I'm wondering is, how moral is it to stand up for something you believe in at the expense of your integrity and the One whom you stand for?

Just a thought.
